Fill a bucket with a gallon of hot water and a few squirts of dish soap or a cup of vinegar. Use a microfiber cloth and soapy water to clean the baseboards. Work only on one small section at a time. Once the section is clean, dry it with a new cloth and continue cleaning along the wall.
Even if you clean floors, dust furniture, and wash windows, dirty baseboards will make your house look shabby and loveless. The baseboards are easy to clean and you only need to do it a couple of times a year to keep them tidy. Use a cotton swab dipped in the cleaning solution to clean the top of the baseboards and the crack between the bottom of the baseboards and the floor. You probably clean the floors quite often, but you probably forget to clean the baseboards that are just above the floor.
